A retired social worker, Delores Carpenter is an avid photographer who enjoys spending her days driving through Rockcastle and the surrounding counties checking in on the wildflowers. Enriching her life by looking for beauty in small and unexpected things, Delores has driven the back roads for more than 20 years looking for hidden treasures to give a voice to. She hopes that putting her photos out into the world it will bring joy to those who find them.
Delores Carpenter is the photographer for the book, Riding Shotgun: Wildflower Thoughts, with author Mary Lou Wiese.
